The Past Never Dies Summary

Bond meets Greenway on their way to look for 009. Bawma, the Pirate King, is their only lead. Bond finds himself having to fight thugs and get his hands dirty to get a hundred grand just to infiltrate Aleph, talk to Barkhad Ali, and finally reach 009's boat.

The Past Never Dies Walkthrough

[1] Drive to Aleph with Greenway.

Head to Aleph, the main black market hub, which Bawma the Pirate King has control over. Bawma is your lead to track down 009.

[2] Follow Greenway in the market.

While you are in the market, you can get the 6 of Bells, a playing card collectible.

[3] Looking for Greenway, go back to the gun shop.

Facing the gun shop, go right. You will see a group watching a show from a projector. They tell you that you are trespassing and you find yourself having to fight them.

[4] Go through the gate to find Greenway.

From here, just follow Greenway and a cutscene will start to play. After this, continue following Greenway.

[5] On your way to speak with Barkhad Ali, talk to Bawma's men on the stage.

You can choose to say, "That's right." Finding out you need an invitation plus a whopping 100k, go back to Greenway. The plan is for Greenway to look for an invitation and for Bond to obtain the auction fee.

[6] Find a way to obtain the Auction Fee.

You can get the following collectibles in this section:

• 9 of Acorns
• Mauritania Postcard
• Ober of Acorns
• Delivery Box (Bawma)
• Ace of Roses

To get that hundred grand, here's a list of what you can do:

• Crypto Wallet Route
• Scorpius Hideout Infiltration Route
• Pickpocket Route
• Fight Pit Route
• The Jewel of Jahari Route
• Shooting Range Route

For this walkthrough, we decided to do the Crypto Wallet Route due to the collectibles and the Scorpius Hideout Infiltration Route. It's important to do the Crypto Wallet Route if you want to get all collectibles. You will get the ATAC device, a legacy item, along the way.

However, if you want to finish this objective fast, we recommend doing the Fight Pit route ($60,000) and Crypto Wallet route ($50,000).

[7] Pay the Auction Fee.

Once you have the hundred grand in whatever method you chose, you can get the Pirate Grillz collectible from your extra cash for $1,000. Together with Greenway, go back to the Pirate who asked for the auction fee.

[8] Enter the Auction with Greenway.

At the auction, take a seat and listen to Barkhad Ali. He tells everyone that they need to pass the polygraph or else they need to leave Aleph.

Once it's your turn for the test, you have the option to say:

• This man hates me.
• Call me James.
• Thrilled to be here.

After the introduction test, the bid begins. During the bidding, hack the polygraph to sabotage one of the bidders. After successfully hacking, your next objective is to win the auction. Greenway will tell you when you can bid. In this walkthrough, we chose "two long-distance missile strikes." After raising the bar, offer MI6 intel.

After winning the bid, you can finally talk to Barkhad Ali and strike a deal with him.

[9] Reach 009's boat.

Navigate your way toward the crane. Moneypenny also warns you to not fall into the water.

[10] Upon reaching the boat, find 009.

Watch out for booby traps on the boat. You can disarm these wires easily. But on the upper deck, Greenway warns you about the laser tripwires. He tells you that it reacts to particles in the air, which clues you in on how to trigger it.

[11] Investigate the crime scene.

Finding 009, check the room to find out what happened.

[12] Bond feeling the need to, use the telescope.

Find the ship that has a logo that matches the one on the photo of Greenway and 009.

[13] Wake Greenway.

On your way out, Bawman's men block your way. You now find yourself tied upside down with Greenway, ready to be served on a platter. Swing your body to bump him and wake him. As he wakes up, he tells Bawma about Harmony, which caused a surprising reaction from him.

[14] Follow Bawma.

Convincing Bawma to free you, follow him to the car. But along the way, grab the Crocodile Tooth near the barrels. You can then enter the Land Rover which ends this mission.
