Slaying the Hero Josée - Part 3 Quest Summary
After solving the substation problem, you need to solve another one: the water contamination. The Metagen that caused the Resurgence needs to be slayed.
Slaying the Hero Josée - Part 3 Walkthrough
[1] Head to Josée's base of operation.
After the boss fight and a cutscene, you can find a chest that contains the Ivy Jail.
Teleport to the Mistle (2179: The Hero Josee's Era) first to enter into a cutscene. You will meet Valentin again as well as a new face, Gobbo. Josée is accusing Gobbo of the assassination attempt on her and kidnapping her people, and of course, Gobbo denies it.
[2] Head to Josée's room.
Use the elevator near the mistle. A cutscene will start again. Due to the Metagen, "a vestigial spore that spews rot," the Resurgence occurred. The Resurgence is the cause of the current problem, water pollution. The solution to this problem? Slay the Metagen.
[3] Solve the water contamination issue.
You can freely explore or head to the next objective. Make sure to pin the location to easily see where you're heading. When you reach the tower, a cutscene will start. An elevator is waiting for you inside the building.
After the elevator ride, another cutscene will start. You enter another memory about Josée and her sister, Lise. You can then activate the nearby mistle. As you navigate your way, here's your list of loot:

You will then reach this area where a cutscene will begin showing Lise.
And then you can pick up more loot:

At this point, you can open the door near the mistle. Facing the mistle, go right to the elevator. Go down to where the golden bond is.
Interact with it to enter another memory. You'll see Lise talk with her mother. Her mother tells Lise that being twins, their powers were split, which made it unstable. She tells her that doesn't mean she should be gone, and her being gone would affect those who hold her dear.
After the scene, continue down the path. You'll be able to spot the Map Jammer below.

Before entering the open area, destroy the Map Jammer first.
In the open area, an elite enemy is waiting for you, so be careful. It has wind, fire, and electric attacks. You will get the Key to the Lower Levels after defeating it.
This gives you access to the lower levels of the mall. Open the gate and get the chest at the right that contains Blood Impact. You can then go through the elevator to go further down.
Once you get out of the elevator, pick up the Tender Crimson Stone 2. You can then interact with the bond ahead. You find Lise studying formaeology to help her and Josée's condition. After this, go down and activate another mistle. On your way, pick up more loot:
Finally, after taking all the loot, you can destroy the Map Jammer on the same floor you got the Breath of Flame. After destroying the map jammer, go left and jump down. Entering the next area will trigger the cutscene. You will see Lise again and enter another memory. Josée also tells you that the next is Ground Zero. Activate the nearby mistle and prepare for the next boss fight.
METAGEN REMNANT
The Metagen mostly attacks with her very, very huge arms. The best way to deal with her is through long range. Although she will leap at you, she is not fast enough for you to get hit quickly.
Here are some moves that you should watch out for:

| Elbow Attack |  | As you can see, it's actually an AOE attack. It covers a lot of area that you can actually get hit. Make sure to be at a distance as she prepares for it. |
| Frog Leap |  | She likes being close to you. So when you're far away, she will leap at you. There are a few seconds there when she's high up so you can prepare yourself. |
| Fireballs |  | The fireballs she spits are pretty quick. So dodge to the side. |
Defeating Metagen, Josée thanks you by giving some of her powers.
