Is it Multiplayer
Yes. Aniimo is a game that can be played fully solo, but can also be played with other players.
There are specializes areas where you may interact with players online such as the RV Park, but most multiplayer will be done through co-op, where you invite your friends into your world and act as the host or vice versa.
In Multiplayer, your team can defeat bosses together, but story content will only be saved for the hosting player.
Multiplayer-only features
What has been observed was in the Closed Beta Testing. This may be subject to change in the full rtelease.
Limited Aniimo
It is worth noting that in the Closed Beta Tests, certain Aniimo were only available by capturing them in another person's world or through trading. There is also the Aniimo Fentuft, which can only be evolved through trading with another player. This is a similar feature to Pokemon, and may be the first of many such Aniimo.
Dungeons
Some dungeons can only be done in co-op. The rewards here, however, can also be acquired through solo means.
Egg Heist
Egg Heist is a game mode where you have to acquire an Aniimo Egg in a dungeon. This can be played PvP where teams of 3 will race to find the Egg first, or PvE, which can be played solo or as a team of 3, trying to get through puzzles to acquire the egg.
Holo-Battle Interlink
This is an end-game feature where up to 4 players can team up to fight against 3 bosses sequentially. This can challenge your Damage per Second (DPS) output.
