Cast into Darkness Quest Summary
The vultures watch and wait. The thirst drains Burlap Sack dry. The road goes on and on, unseen, unending, impossible. Where he came from slowly fades. Where he's going vanishes. Where he belong is lost. This land, this sky...they let nothing survive.
Cast into Darkness Walkthrough
[1] Look for traces of the Burlap Sack.
Advance toward the next marked tree on the map and investigate the area for Burlap Sack's trail.
[2] Catch up with the Fox.
A sneaky fox stole Burlap Sack's waterskin, try to chase it!
[3] Head to the Beacon Fort.
After failing to retrieve the waterskin, Burlap Sack continues his journey to find a water supply.
[4] Approach the Well.
Continue heading straight until the well is seen.
[5] Draw Water.
Unfortunately, Burlap Sack becomes dismayed as he wasn't able to get any water from this well.
[6] Continue toward Beacon Fort.
Extremely dehydrated, Burlap Sack continues through what seems to be endless sand.
As his condition worsens, the player can observe him hallucinating an oasis in the distance. He eventually encounters another well, only to find it empty once again.
[7] Ascend to Get Bearings.
He stumbles while trying to climb the dunes. Luckily, his lost waterskin is nearby where he fell.
[8] Carry the Burlap Sack.
[9] Pick up the Water Bag.
The old man's expectations were crushed yet again, since there's no longer any water there.
[10] Check Baggage.
Burlap Sack decides to rest under a tree to inspect his remaining items.
[11] Survey Surroundings.
As if he weren't miserable enough, Burlap Sack notices the incoming sandstorm.
[12] Escape the Vicious Birds.
The situation becomes more problematic as Utuk Raptors begin preying on and attacking him.

[13] Enter the Beacon Fort to take Shelter.
Continue evading the birds while running to the Beacon Fort. Keep a close eye to his health bar if hit by any attacks!
[14] Light 3 Beacons to Scare Off the Birds.
Climbing the fort to find the three beacons is the last part of the quest.

| 1 | Make sure there's no Raptors nearby before lighting up a Beacon. If Burlap Sack is hit, the action is interrupted, and the progress resets. |

Once the Utuk Raptors finally fly away, the game shifts back to the young wanderer for the "Clawing to Light".
