After the bloody battle, Squarewall Hold became a forbidden ground, where a curse strikes down anyone who approaches. Only an old woman haunts the nearby graves, seeking a way past the veil.
The Final Retreat Walkthrough
[1] Speak with Granny Pan.
After completing "A Tassel and a Tale", Granny Pan and Young Yichao travel next to the Squarewall Hold Ruins Boundary Stone.
Start this Wandering Tale by talking to Granny Pan once more.
[2] Collect All 3 Gong Fragments.
In the Squarewall Hold Ruins, there are invisible enemies wandering around. Use the wind and sand to locate them.
Three fragments of the Retreat Gong are scattered in the area. Restore and strike the gong to stop the endless battle.

[3] Return to Granny Pan.
Climb the tower near the Bronze Gong Fragment II to find Granny Pan and Young Yichao.
From there, use the wind and sand again to find Hidden Paths. Follow them to reach the highest point of Squarewall Hold.
[4] Strike the Gong.
End this Quest by striking the Retreat Gong and recalling the troops.
