Strange Tale: The Water that Turns to Foam
-
Talk to Ms. Bulan at the Beach near the port.
Go to the beach near the port to see a mother and child near the beach that you have to talk to. The mother, Ms. Bulan is scolding the child for sneaking out for a swim, but Laut says he's a school swim champ. He also says something about swimming until the water turns to foam. Ms. Bulan tells him not to fill a tourist's head with nonsense. Laud says to come back tomorrow so he can tell you more about it.
-
Return the Next Day
Set your time to morning, the next day. If the tourist is not there, return to log-in and then enter the game again.
The tourist will mention that Laut told him to swim until the water turned into foam to see "Wahie". Ms. Bulan returned to drag him off, but this sparked curiosity in the tourist. He knew there were Anomalies in Sunward Island, so he swam out to shore until he almost drowned from exhaustion. Suddenly, foam arrived, and he fell unconscious. Then he suddenly woke up on shore. He encourages you to do the same.
-
Swim near the Shore
Keep swimming until you're a few dozen meters away from shore. Keep swimming in circles to make sure you don't stray so far. If you have Lacrimosa, you can try flying around the shore too.
Once your Stamina turns red, foam bubbles will begin to appear near you. If you're using Lacrimosa, drop down to the sea. Keep swimming until your character is exhausted, and then suddenly bubbles will cover the screen. You'll find yourself back at the shore after that happens.
-
Talk to Ms. Bulan
Ms. Bulan will explain to you that Wahie was known as the guardian deity of the beach, before Anomalies were well known. He would save anyone that was about to drown, and the kids on the beach used to have a game where they would swim until they were exhausted. It took a lot of courage, and some kids even treated it as a game. But when Sunward Island became host to a resort, tourists started to come more often.
One day a young Ms. Bulan heard Wahie cry out in anguish, and saw blood in the water. A tourist had stabbed Wahie while being carried back to shore. While the tourist was punished, Wahie was hurt, and the community felt guilty. Now Wahie has become afraid of people, but he still won't let them die. So before he brings people back to shore, he puts them to sleep. And now they keep quiet about this legend to keep him safe. Ms. Bulan asks you not to share this with anyone, and you agree! After the conversation, you'll gain Footprint Points.
Strange Tale: The Haunted Tunnel
-
Talk to the Introverted Worker near the tunnel.
At the part of the tunnel that enters into the town, there will be two workers nearby discussing how the tunnel becomes haunted at 10 PM at night. The tunnel becomes dark and filled with ghosts. While the ghosts don't do anything, it's still very scary. You promise as an Anomaly Hunter to investigate this.
-
Enter the tunnel.
Change the time to 22:00 on your phone and enter the tunnel. Sure enough, deep inside the tunnel, you'll find ghosts all over the tunnel. You can't interact with them though, but at least you'll gain Footprint Points.
Strange Tale: The Flying Fish
-
Head for the Sea Angler Spot on Sunward Island
Right before the breakwater where you can fish, there will be two fishermen you can talk to, who are discussing about a flying fish one of them caught. He claims it's an actual flying fish, not one that you send sailing through the air.
-
Fish for a "Scales Banner" Fish.
What we're looking for is a "Blue Scales Banner," "Red Scales Banner," or "Green Scales Banner" Fish. You're able to fish for it even with just Universal Bait. If you're at Fishing Level 5, you can use the Nectar Bait to specifically fish for them.
Once you stop fishing, the fish will remain in the sky, swimming in the air, and you'll gain Footprint Points. If you fish for all 3 "Scales Banner" fish, they will all be flying around the fishing spot!
Strange Tale: The Talking Well
-
Pour Water into the Well.
Pour Water into the well and watch the water strangely bubble up.
-
Interact with the Well.
The first time you interact with the well, it will probably simply bubble up. You'll gain Footprint Points for doing that. But if you interact with it at certain times and whether conditions, it will tell you stories. For example, at 2:00 to 6:00 in the early morning, when it's sunny, the well will tell you a story about a local boy who wanted to see the stars. Try to find other time and weather combos to find more stories!
Strange Tale: The Bell on the Hill
Up on a hill overlooking the town is a bell. If you ring it, it will rapidly change the weather to a foggy atmosphere. This will give you Footprint Points. The weather follows a cycle. If you ring it a second time, it's going to be raining. A third time, and it's snowing. A fourth time, and the sky will become an ominous red, probably related to an anomaly. If you ring again, it will become foggy again.
If you want the sky to be sunny again, just use the time app and pick sunny weather.
Strange Tale: Dance! Dance! Dance!
At the top of Sunward Island, near the lighthouse, are a few residences. Posted outside the walls is a notice inviting guests to come at 10 PM to dance, and for a musician to play music.
-
Enter the community.
Change the time to 22:00 at night, and you'll find there's a butler outside the area now. You can't enter unless you have music playing with you, so you have two options. Play the Cubox Portable Player that you have and walk in, or spawn in a scooter and bike and enter.
Once you enter the community, you'll find many ghosts dancing around, and you'll receive your Footprint Points.
Strange Tale: The Secret Message in a Bottle
-
Read the Secret Message.
On the northwestern part of Sunward Island, just south of the Sea Angler Spot, there will be a small beach. Near a small wooden boat is a secret message in a bottle telling you to do something specific.
-
Light the Bonfire
Check the bag on the wooden boat to gain a "Strange Fire Stone". Enter the beach and go to the small bonfire so you can light it.
-
Talk to the Sewer Serpent
Talk to the Sewer Serpent, and he'll ask you what the code is. Unfortunately, you don't remember it, so you can pick any of the choices here. He'll realize you're not who he was waiting for, and you're given two options. If you let him escape, you'll gain a spoon! Regardless of what you choose, this is the end of the Strange Tale, and you'll receive Footprint Points.
Strange Tale: Great Jerry and the Rusted Blade
-
Speak to the Great Jerry
On the southern part of Sunward Island, near the tunnel, there is a cove on the beach that can be entered. In that beach, there is a wrecked wooden pirate ship. If you enter at night, you'll find the bonfire lit, and the Great Jerry near it.
The Great Jerry wishes to sail once again, but his crew won't respect him without his trusty blade. Unfortunately, he lost it fighting against a knight on Sunward Island. But recently, he heard that a rusty blade was found during a fishing tournament! So now he asks you to retrieve it for him.
-
Retrieve the Sword
Go back to the resort. On the second floor, near the terrace overlooking the open area, there will be a table. Talk to Ken. If he won't speak to you, shift the time to morning the next day.
Ken will explain that since Mr. Arid Angler caught the only thing of worth in the 18th Annual Sunward Island Fishing Tournament this year, they will display it until next year. Mr. Arid Angler refuses to let that happen, and Gaheris suggests they just hold the tournament again. Ken agrees to that proposal, and a happy Mr. Arid Angler lets you have the sword.
-
Toss the Sword into the Bonfire
Return to the cove at night, and toss the sword into the bonfire.
-
Speak once more to the Great Jerry
The Great Jerry will be near his pirate ship. He'll be thrilled and will invite you on an adventure. Accept, and you'll find that you hear others agreeing, just before The Great Jerry vanishes. What kind of sea was the Great Jerry truly seeking to sail?
This ends the Strange Tale, and gives you Footprint Points.
Strange Tale: The Golden Trees and the Sword
There are 3 Golden Trees on Swunward Island holding parts of a sword. You must find these trees and retrieve them so they can be reassembled.
-
Find The 1st Golden Tree
The 1st tree can be found on the west side of Sunward Island, somewhere inside the forest. Retrieve the Broken Guard from there. You'll get some dialogue about a king resting beneath the Golden Tree...
-
Find The 2nd Golden Tree
The 2nd tree can be found on top of the cliff overlooking the cove. What's found there is the Broken Hilt of the sword.
-
Find The 3rd Golden Tree
The 3rd tree can be found behind the community with the lighthouse. It is here that you can find the Broken Blade of the sword.
-
Go to the northwestern Island.
Go to the small adjunct island found at the north eastern end of Sunward Island. There will be a shallow path that you can follow to get to it. Run there, or ride there. Just make sure not to fall into the water! Once there, go inside the forest.
-
Go to The Buried Sword
Inside the forest is a small clearing, with a rock in the middle. There are 3 trees around them that hint to where the parts of the sword are. Go to the broken tip at the middle, and use the 3 sword parts you have.
Once you have repaired the sword, it will rise up into the air, and golden spectral knights will be seen kneeling to it. The Buried Sword will give out a poem, and you'll gain Footprint Points and finish the final Strange Tale.
