Audience Quest Summary
Chapter One: Azuria
The king announces that the neighboring kingdom of Vermeil is preparing for war, causing the nobles to fear that the Crystal Encroachment forebodes a repeat of the Rift War that happened 200 years before.
With the tension rising between two kingdoms, the king orders the heir to be present at the peace talks with Vermeil.
Audience Walkthrough
[1] Leave through the Castle Gates.
After speaking with King Arken, the Prince/Princess returns to the Ranger's Base.

Start the Inaugural Expedition with Thea and Simon by passing through the gate ahead.
The team begins their mission at the Sunpetal Plains, ride the Monstie and head over to the overlook.
[2] Slay the Velociprey and Velocidrome.
These creatures are wreaking havoc on the Aptonoth ecosystem lately, so the Rangers must defeat them.

| Monsters in the Field | Coming into contact with a monster triggers a battle. Running into one from behind guarantees a Preemptive Strike, but if a monster hits the group from behind, players suffer a Surprise Attack. |
| Attack Types | The three attack types are Power, Technical, and Speed. Each of them has a strength and a weakness affecting whether players win or lose a Head-to-Head. Power beats Technical Technical beats Speed Speed beats Power |
| Double Attack | If players win a Head-to-Head while targeting the same opponent, it results to a Double Attack. However, these will not occur if the Rider uses a skill. |
Once the Velociprey is slain, a Velocidrome suddenly appears. Defeat it to progress!

| Active Skills and Stamina | Select Skills in battle to consume Stamina and use an Active Skill. Some have attack type and can trigger a Head-to-Head under the right conditions. |
| Wyvernsoul Gauge | Represents a monster's fighting spirit. Reducing it to zero will give a big advantage in battle. Deplete it using Active Skills, Kinship Skills, or by attacking while riding. |
| Transformations | Most monsters undergo transformations during battle. The behavior and attack types of that monster will change. For some, other abilities may also be enhanced. |
| Synchro Rush | Can be activated when a lone monster is Toppled. This inflicts massive damage and greatly charges the Kinship Gauge. |
[3] Go to the Lookout Point.
Continue forward and change the Monstie to Tobi-Kadachi in order to climb the walls.
On top of the Lookout Point, the group meets an Explorer Felyne. Use the Farseer Spyglass to find the forest entrance on the right.
After that, proceed to the Ashen Pass to start the "Feral Monster" Quest.
