Hostile Encounter Quest Summary
Chapter One: Azuria
Vermeil’s sudden assault, led by Queen Clarissa and her unrelenting Rathalos, completely overwhelms the Azurian forces.
Simon saves the protagonist from the Rathalos fire breath only to be engulfed in the flames and disappear from sight. With his last words, he urges the Prince/Princess onwards to the Sacrosanctum.
Hostile Encounter Walkthrough
[1] Fly to the Burning Watchtower.
The Azurian Border is under attack! Quickly head over to the Quest Objective to check out what’s happening.
Enemy forces shatter the walls and start charging forward. The appeals for a ceasefire from the Prince/Princess are ignored.
The group is left with no choice but to defend themselves from the incoming attacks.
[2] Defeat Two Honed Glavenus.
This Monster was previously encountered during the “Gathering Storm” Quest, but this time, the team needs to fight two of them.

Stay alert to which body part is Heated before attacking. This puts the team at an advantage during Head-to-Head.
Winning the battle provides the Azurian soldiers an opportunity to regain their composure and secure their formation.
Unfortunately, the arrival of Queen Clarissa and her Rathalos brought despair to their nation even further.
Simon sacrifices himself to protect the Prince/Princess. In his final moments, he hands over Amara’s necklace and urges that his best friend travel to the Sacrosanctum.
The following cutscenes show the profound grief experienced by the Rangers.
It concludes with Eleanor and the protagonist departing for the Wyverian Gate to fulfill Simon's final wish.
"The Northern Meridian" Quest is automatically unlocked afterward.
