How to Get Daggers

Blacksmith

You can get all the types of weapons from the blacksmith including the Dagger. Bring enough Col and crafting materials to get the specific weapon you want. You can also get blueprints for weapons to craft during your adventures.

You can also check the stats of each weapon, including their Unique MODs. With this, you can select the weapon that fits your playstyle.

Dagger as a Weapon

dagger

Daggers are short swords that can be used for quick multiple combos. Even though they generally have low attack power, as they can be used in bursts, the damage piles up.

The player uses their whole body in attacking, and therefore cannot use a shield. Guarding is not as effective for this playstyle and dodging is much more appropriate and manageable.

Since a dagger is easy to use, a player that doesn't want to worry about defensive play can pile up attacks on an opponent.

What Stats to Focus On

A dagger focuses mostly on attack speed and stamina, thus its primary stats being AGI and END. While one attack from the dagger only utilizes a small amount of stamina, the large number of attacks pile up. This means that it is very easy to lose stamina, in addition to the rolling and dodging to avoid foes.

If the player wants to utilize Sword Skills better, Mind and DEX are good options, however, since the dagger is not ideal for the parrying playstyle, even just focusing on Mind would be alright. The stat points can go to ATK instead.

Since END is a primary stat, the Ex-Mods for the weapon can concentrate on attack power and attack speed.

Dagger Sword Skills Usage

There are 4 categories of Dagger Sword Skills:

  • Distances yourself from the enemy

These Sword Skills knock the enemy back or makes you step away from the enemy in order to attack. This is advantageous when dealing with an enemy with an AoE attack near it.

These skills include: Single Stab, Flick and Twist, and Swarm Sting.

  • Closes the gap between you and the enemy

On the flip side, these Sword Skills lets you quickly close the gap between you and your foe so that you can attack them in close capacity. It is worth noting that Incision also launches the enemy into air after initially pulling you towards the enemy.

These skills include: Rapid Bite, Fulmination, Rising Helix, and Incision.

  • Hits multiple targets

These Sword Skills are useful when dealing with mobs, especially when the boss or elite enemies call on for reinforcements. Dagger Barrage can also target the same unit twice.

These skills include: Dagger Barrage and Swarm Sting.

  • Hits multiple times

These Sword Skills can hit a target multiple times with varying levels of strength.

These skills include: Disorder, Rising Helix, Trend Edge, and Swarm Sting.

Each Sword Skill has its place and some might do better in the overworld than in boss fights. While there can be mobs in boss fights, they are more common in the overworld, so you might choose a Sword Skill that deals with several enemies over something that hits hard instead. Sometimes, you want to go with pure strength in attack. There are some moves like Incision in which you can immediately use combo moves on your opponent right after unleashing the skill.

Choose according to your play style.

Recommended skills to use in general: Incision, Swarm Sting, Trend Edge, Rapid Bite
