Recommended Builds for Two-Handed Swords
Two-Handed Sword as a Weapon
Two-Handed swords are like a middle ground between one-handed swords and two-handed axes. They have the power to deal good damage, but not overly great damage. They also are easy to use and are not as slow as an axe, even if your combos will not be as fast as a regular sword.
They do use a substantial amount of stamina, but is again, a middle ground between the other two weapons. There is a noticeable difference in strength and stamina-consumption between light and heavy attacks and it is important to still note that after heavy attacks, you can leave yourself vulnerable to attacks by enemies.
For people who like to play souls-like, this might be for you, especially if you focus more stat points into attacking rather than survivability.
Guarding is not as effective for the two-handed sword, so you must get used to dodging and rolling around. Thus, parry slashes are not as common for this weapon.
What Stats to Focus On
There is a lot to focus on for Two-Handed Swords but typically, its focus should be on DEX and Mind. Its Sword Skills deal great damage and therefore, it is better to greater the Sword Skill damage and increase the SP available to you.
However, as it still does need a bit more stamina than other weapons, END is a secondary stat to consider, alongside STR. Of course, these can also be supplemented with some Ex-Mods instead of stat points.
