Hunt Marlowe Part 1 Walkthrough
[1] Hunt Marlowe.
Explore the room, then return to the corridor and save. Walk to the dead end and turn around. The entrance is now an elevator, so use its controls.
Zora waits at a nearby gate. Shop and use the storage box, then lockpick the closet to the right before the entrance for Gunpowder and Chemicals.
Clear the enemies in the next room, then take the hallway to the dressing room and grab the Snake Key from the rightmost locker. Check the computer room for a Lockpick in the vent crawlspace just outside.
Return to the elevator room. The Snake Door opposite it opens with the Snake Key. Take the Voyeur Ticket from the middle of the table inside.
In the next room, disarm the bear trap. The closet opens with the code 1952 and holds the SMG upgrade, plus Pistol and Revolver ammo.
Back in the main hall, enemies spring from the iron maidens and the dressing room. Use the Voyeur Ticket on the ticket reader to enter the Voyeur Area.
| Item | Location |
|---|---|
| Snake Key | Rightmost locker in the dressing room. |
| Voyeur Ticket | Middle of the table in the Snake Door room. |
| SMG: Laser Pointer | Closet in the bear trap room. Code 1952. |
| Lockpick | Vent crawlspace outside the computer room. |
| Recordings and books | Eremites book on the main hall coffee table. Scarlet Church book and Leviathan Recording on the second floor. |
[2] Enter the Voyeur Room.
Marlowe is busy, so take the hallway to the checkerboard room, then the hallway with hanging chains. Watch for a bear trap beside the cage. Lockpick the closet in the drape room for Revolver ammo and Coils.
When you try to leave the artwork room, chains seal the exits, and the artwork becomes an Armored Miniboss. Stock up on the ammo and weapons around the room first. Take the Labyrinth Remnant after the fight.
In the room with the ladder, take the Peephole Insert under the ladder and the Labyrinth Rejects from the table. Climb up to Zora's shop to restock, then return to the Voyeur Area stage and use the Peephole Insert to unlock the door.
[3] Escape the Sister of Mercy.
Once inside, the Sister of Mercy attacks and throws away the Genesis Configuration. You can't fight her yet, so hide.
Stay behind pillars and move only when she faces away. Throw bottles to pull her attention. Move the wooden object when she isn't looking, slip through the bathroom to the other side, and hide behind the bar before you climb the stairs slowly.
A bottle falls when you move the last object and alerts her. Run up and across the platform to the Genesis Configuration, where an invisible wall stops her.
[4] Get the Genesis Configuration Back.
The Labyrinth shifts before you can grab it. Take the stairs that open and follow the hallways to a save point.
The Chatterer roams the Labyrinth here. It is a warning, not a chase, so follow the direction he walks.
The next hallways are full of blades, so use these timings:
First two rooms: Run after the blades start moving.
Third room: Run clockwise with the spinning blade.
Last room: Run between the two alternating blades.
A rotating room with a ghoul jump scare sits in the middle, so keep moving. Take the Genesis Configuration just outside.
[5] Escape the Labyrinth.
Time the moving platform with the blades, and use it a second time once the blades start. The next hallway ends in a locked door, so go back the other way.
In the rotating room, rotate the sections to reach the Suffering Pillar.
Interact with the needle for a flashback, then with past Aidan, and climb the only ladder. In the room of moving stairs, align the two cubes parallel, then light the pillar behind you with fire to open a path to the other side. Climb the stairs to the Pain Pillar.
Head to the bottom floor, avoid the blade, and enter the nightclub. Interact with the drugs. The Labyrinth boxes you into a corridor, and a final Chatterer chase follows.
Another Cenobite saves you and grants new powers for the Genesis Configuration. Try Banishing and Hell Chains on the ghouls that appear.
[6] Search the Club.
The club is overrun, so clear the enemies as you go. On the second floor, the first room on the left in the left hallway has a Labyrinth Remnant and a Recording. The far-left room holds the Embossed Block puzzle.
Use the Embossed Block on the Private Rooms door.
The door on the right uses the code 1923. Then go through the club and kill the remaining enemies.
| Item | Location |
|---|---|
| Advanced Repair Kit | One of the torture rooms. |
| SMG: Skeletonized Bolt Carrier | Behind the bar downstairs. |
| Marlowe's Autobiography | Near the Tape Cabinet, in the far-corner room. |
| Sister of Mercy Tape | Near the Photo Studio, in the far-corner room. |
Climb the ladder in the corner and drop through the broken glass floor. Take the Hobby Horse from the corpse in the sacrifice circle. Cultists swarm from the crawlspaces when you leave, so kill them all.
Go upstairs and use the Hobby Horse on the horse scanner. In the private room, break a glass pane for Assault Rifle: Overloaded Cartridges, then take the Gagged Skull from the skeleton statue. This triggers another Armored Miniboss fight.
Climb the ladder behind the Peeping Room to return to Zora. She mentions the Rite of Rebirth, so restock before you go on.
[7] Defeat the Sister of Mercy.
Use the Gagged Skull on the door, read the cultist's confession nearby, and enter the bar. Kill the enemies, then step into the Dance Room. Aidan demands that Marlowe show himself, and the Sister of Mercy answers instead.
[8] Give the Heart to Sunny.
Follow the map back to Sunny. The path is straightforward, and a Pain Pillar sits along the way, so don't skip it. Sunny says she needs more, and Aidan continues his hunt for Marlowe.
