Where to Find Zmey, the Unbidden
Zmey is the final boss of Mortal Shell 2.
Unlocking Zmey, the Unbidden
[1] Collect 168 Ova.
You must collect at least 168 ova in order to unlock the hidden dungeon at Marrow Keep.
[2] Defeat the following bosses:
It is only after defeating them can you unlock where Zmey lies - The Hidden Nave Dungeon.
[3] Cleanse The Hidden Nave Beacon
You can only access the area where Zmey is after cleansing the Beacon. You need at least 80,000 Gloom to cleanse the corruption.
[4] Get to Zmey.
Go behind the Hidden Nave Beacon and launch yourself upwards to get to the arena with Zmey.
Zmey, the Unbidden Attack Patterns
| Attack | Description |

| Tail Slam |  Zmey will grab you with its tail, slam you down, and then, sit on you. This deals massive damage. |
| Long Crack |  Zmey will slam their sword blade onto the ground, producing a long crack on the floor. |
| Magma Breath |  Zmey will breathe out fire that leaves flaming magma pools on the ground. |
| Sword Slam |  Zmey will slam their sword's tip on the ground where you are, causing a direct hit and a lot of damage. |
| Tail Whip |  If you get too close to Zmey for a long time, it will whip you away. |
| Magma Ripples |  Zmey will start unleashing circular waves of fiery magma. They will only start doing once you deplete half of their health. |
How to Beat Zmey, the Unbidden
[1] Use the special item.
The Seedbearer's Scripture item is an item that cures Cosmic Disease and grants Cosmic Disease mitigation. Most moves by Zmey incorporate Cosmic Disease. This item therefore lets you bypass a lot of damage when you equip it.
This is especially useful in the second half of the fight.
[2] Stay close to Zmey.
Most of Zmey's moves are flashy ones that do damage in a wider area away from it. If you stay really close to it, right under its belly, you will get less damage and have more opportunity to attack.
Having a gap-closing attack, like Proxima's ability will be very useful here. Be careful to not stay close for too long though! It might swipe you away with its tail. It will also try to put distance between the two of you several times.
[3] Dodge for your life.
There are not many opportunities to do any counters here, especially with how large the areas of potential damage are. Make sure to practice your dodging skills and learn the moveset by heart. Even Zmey's simple one-hit moves can cause significant damage.
