General Guide for Bosses
When Attacking
Study the attack patterns of the boss. This is the most common yet very effective advice. Learn their attack opening and what response is appropriate. When do you need to attack, and when do you need to dodge?
When dodging
To defeat bosses, you need to be familiar with the combat system. Dodging, for instance, has many forms. While standing still, Rose can do a back dash. Press the dodge again after the first, and this one allows her to back flip to cover more distance. While moving, the dodge becomes a slide.
With this alone, you have choices on how to dodge a boss attack.
Choosing weapons
There are 7 weapon families in the game. And each weapon family has a combat style. Read the skills and learn how to use them. Maybe you will find the best weapon against a certain boss.
Arcanas from Bosses
When you defeat bosses, they are sealed in Rose's Tarot Cards. Not only are you able to talk to them, but you will then acquire their corresponding Arcana. Equipping said Arcana allows you to use special skills and actions.
Spawn at Boss Door
By default, when your character, Rose, dies, you will be sent back to the last Mirror you interacted with. However, this can be changed by customizing your gameplay settings. You have the option to spawn at the Boss Door.
