How to Beat Talos
[1] The Boss Fight is Split into Three Stages.
Talos moves to a different room whenever you deplete a third of its HP. Just before the final stage, a countdown timer appears on your HUD. Defeat Talos before the time runs out, or the entire arena will collapse, bringing you down with it.
[2] Destroy the Robotic Cores to Make It Vulnerable.
Use the Arcane Whip to directly latch onto the robotic cores and reach them more easily. Talos deploys these cores during the first two stages to create a protective shield that renders it invulnerable, unless you wipe out these devices.
[3] Rely Heavily on the Platforms and Your Whip.
The platforms provide cover from most of Talos's attacks. Use them to block its Pyro Volley and the devastating Incinerating Blast. When it uses the latter, watch the direction of the gas and take cover behind the platforms in areas the blast can't reach.
Good positioning is the key to winning this fight. Use the Arcane Whip to quickly escape from danger and to pull yourself toward Talos during its vulnerability windows. You can also use ranged weapons to target its core.
[4] Parry its Attacks with Holy Light to Stay on the Platform.
Talos's melee combos and even its Pyro Volley can be parried with the Holy Light. Time your parries carefully to avoid being knocked off the central platforms and maintain a steady offense.
[5] Don't Rush the Obstacles Along the Way.
On your way to the next area, you'll encounter several obstacles, including falling fists, spikes, and crumbling platforms. Take your time to learn the trap patterns and navigate carefully, as these traps can easily cause damage and force you to use Healing Potions that would be better saved for the actual boss fight.
