How to Beat Succubus

[1] Use a Whip to Maximize Your Attack Distance.

Using weapons from the Whip arsenal is recommended for this fight. Succubus relies on a close-range attack and frequently dashes around, making it troublesome to fight with short-ranged weapons.

Whips allow you to deal maximum damage from a safe distance while easily hitting multiple clones without repositioning. Equip the Vampire-Killer to inflict burn and maximize your damage.

[2] Stay in the Middle of the Arena Once She Starts Dashing.

When Succubus starts dashing, stay near the middle of the arena to better anticipate her movements. Dodge her horizontal dash by double-jumping or latching onto the purple anchors.

Parrying Succubus's dash but getting damaged by the streak

Alternatively, you can also parry her dash attacks with the Holy Light. But beware, as each dash leaves a streak that explodes shortly afterward, potentially hitting you twice.

[3] Avoid Getting Hit by her Life Drain Projectiles.

When Succubus's health drops below 50%, she spawns multiple clones and floats to the center of the room, becoming invulnerable. You must destroy her copies while evading the original's projectiles to interrupt the attack.

Succubus draining Rose's Life using Life Drain

Be careful, as getting hit by one of these would sap away Rose's health and restore the boss's HP. Once stopped, she falls to the ground and becomes briefly vulnerable.

[4] Use the Stained-Glass Shield to Help Track Down the Real Succubus.

Fragment from Arthur's Arcana piercing the clones

Arthur's Stained-Glass Shield creates fragments that target multiple enemies at once, helping you identify the original one faster. The shield also actively blocks incoming damage, making it especially useful when there are multiple projectiles approaching from different directions.

Succubus Rewards

Succubus will grant Rose the following upon his defeat:

  • Life Drain
  • Reveals the Hall of Mirrors on the map
