Takamura decides to train Musashi on how to use his Oni Gauntlet.

The Oni's Apprentice Walkthrough
[1] Talk to Shizuka.
Go to the Spirit Mirror like Shizuka asked and speak to her.
Touch the Mirror and choose to Enhance Equipment/Abilities in the menu. Use materials you pick up to improve your equipment and unlock new skills.
[2] Ring the Bell.
Takamura offers to train Musashi to master the use of the gauntlet. He tells Musashi to ring the bell in the temple grounds when he is ready.
[3] Begin training.
Speak with Takamura.
The Practice Ground menu will open up. Here, you can practice the new combat skills you've acquired. Completing the Drills will give you rewards for either battle or for potential upgrades. You can also replay the boss matches you've done previously. Defeating them can unlock new skins for Musashi.
Choose a skill to practice.
Examine the treasure Takamura gives you. It is a weapon called the Wind-Whipper. When used, Musashi creates a small whirlwind around himself. You can now choose which armament to use in battle.
[4] Return to Rokkudo-chinnoji Temple.
Ring the bell to go back to the temple.
