The Clash at Rendaino Summary
The Genma have arrived at Rendaino, slaughtering numerous people. Musashi heads out to address the situation. However, this is all a ruse, as Gioh infiltrates and kills Okuni to revive Ganryu.
Yoshitsune possesses Okuni and kills Takamura as well. Ganryu then makes his way to the Oni Gate to kill Yoshitsune, but is no match and is killed. With numerous souls in the gauntlet, Yoshitsune breaches the Oni Gate to enact his plan.

The Clash at Rendaino Walkthrough
[1] Speak with Takamura
Genma have started to appear in Rendaino! The Shogun has sent out soldiers to deal with them against Takamura's instructions.
Once you speak with Takamura, you cannot do any side quests. So, make sure you do everything you wish to do before advancing.
[2] Defeat Benkei
Musashi arrives at Rendaino to find Benkei slaughtering countless samurai. Prepare to fight Benkei for a second time!
Once Musashi arrives at the temple, it's too late. Gioh kills Okuni to revive Ganryu. Takamura, in blind rage, tries to kill him, but Yoshitsune possesses Okuni's soul like a puppet in the chaos. Yoshitsune then uses her body to kill Takamura. Musashi wails in grief.
Ganryu proceeds to the Oni Gate with Yoshitsune awaiting his arrival.
Yoshitsune and Ganryu have a bit of small talk, but Ganryu tries to kill him in order to prove himself as the greatest swordsman. As expected, he is cut down immediately. With the souls gathered in Ganryu's gauntlet, Yoshitsune breaches the gate with ease, dead set on bringing the world to bloody chaos.
When Okuni comes to, she learns that Takamura removed his gauntlet and gave it to her so she could be revived. Grief-stricken, Okuni breaks down. Musashi comforts her, telling her it's Yoshitsune's fault. He then gives her Takamura's katana, telling her she's now the temple's guardian. They share an awkward fist-bump before Musashi heads out to defeat Yoshitsune.
