A Haunted Distraction Summary
Lady Murasaki asks for Musashi's help in taking care of some Genma in Yasaka Shrine, and Musashi destroys two rifts to prevent them from returning.

A Haunted Distraction Walkthrough
[1] Seal the First Rift
During Musashi's previous meeting with Takamura, Lady Murasaki appears in the form of a Butterfly to request his help with Genma attacking Yasaka Shrine.
Shizuka says not to travel by Spirit Mirror for fear of letting in some Genma, so you'll have to make your way to Yasaka Shrine on foot.
However, nothing's stopping you from teleporting to a Spirit Mirror near Yasaka Shrine and walking from there.
The way in is blocked by demonic fog. One Genma Swordsman is stumbling around, so kill him before he notices you.
To the left are Prayer Beads.
Enter the open building to find a chest containing Leather and Cotton Cloth.
In the building on the opposite side, you can get a Greater Defense Talisman.
Travel to the other end of the road where two more Genma can see you. The Archer can spot you from above, so shoot him while the Swordsman is still stumbling around, then take the Swordsman out as well.
Now climb up the ramp and destroy the Malice Plant.
At the end of the rooftop connected to the platform is an organ that spews out Purple Orbs for your Oni Awakening gauge.
Jump down to the courtyard and climb up the ladder to attack the other Malice Plant. On your way, there is another organ giving purple orbs as well as Prayer Orbs.
Destroy the Malice Plant. Enemies will follow you up, so be careful of them as well as projectiles.
With the ground now free of fog, defeat all of the enemies in the area. They include Kubi Akari Archers and Swordsmen, some with shields.
More enemies will spawn: two Kogashira and one Chijiko. If you can get them together, a nice swing with the tree will help immensely in taking them down.
Now when you're free of enemies, you can take care of the Rift. You'll get two Malacite for doing so.
[2] Seal the Second Rift
Now go left towards the open ramp. Around a wheelbarrow is a chest containing 2 Iron, and there are 2 Hozukis around it too.
Walk through the platform to the next area. As you walk through the red mist, pick up the Prayer Beads.
There is a Genma with an Exploding Barrel hidden in the next area, so be careful of him.
After that, climb up the ladder and go to the rooftops.
Defeat the Archer and destroy the Malice Plant here.
Pick up the Horn Token (Blazing) as you get down to the courtyard.
A nearby chest contains Cotton Cloth and Iron.
Get back up and continue through the path opened up by the broken Malice Plant.
When you get down, go towards the upper left. A Chijiko will spawn to block your path, so destroy it.
Blessed Beads are just after that.
As you enter a new area, an Archer and Kubi Akari will be awaiting you from the top. Kill him so he does not disturb you breaking the Malice Plant.
Use your Oni Power to run up the wall and get to the Malice Plant.
Destroy the Malice plant.
There are Blessed Beads on the rooftop next to where the plant was.
Three Hozuki can be found in the previous area you were at.
A chest with Leather and Iron can be found right in front of a barricade in the same area.
Prayer Beads can be found in the area where you wall ran.
Now return to the rooftops and climb up to the higher rooftop.
Wallrun up the wall to get to the next area.
Ignore the enemies and climb up the ladder at the upper right.
Defeat the Swordsman waiting for you and destroy the Malice Plant.
Eliminate the three swordsmen as they climb up after you.
A Dohatsu-ten will spawn out of the Rift, alongside some other fodder Swordsmen. The Dohatsu-ten is a relentless swordsman that will keep you on the defensive. Make sure to properly guard against these attacks to beat him.
After you defeat it, you'll gain Dohatsu's Horn x 2.
Now absorb the Second Rift. You'll gain Malacite x 2 and Malacite Mass for doing so.
After a while, a cutscene shows Musashi saying everything is clear. But suddenly, Ifuu and Burai's voices appear. They're waiting for a rematch with Musashi at Kennin-ji Temple, and Musashi obliges them.
