How to Defeat Lord of the Maw Walkthrough

[1] Substitute yourself with bombs for a spicy treat.

The Lord of the Maw opens its mouth wide and attempts to suck in everything nearby. Run in the opposite direction to avoid being swallowed and taking heavy damage. Players with low max HP should be particularly cautious here.

Alternatively, you can turn this attack against it and deal massive damage. During its sucking attack, chuck a bomb in its mouth to temporarily stun the boss and expose its weak point, the glowing lure.

[2] Avoid the water barrage aimed at the player.

When the boss retreats back into the pond, prepare for this attack. Move away from the water projectiles and weave through the gaps between them. Take note that the orbs are generated in different patterns.

[3] Boss drops the bass, then drops its guard.

The Lord of the Maw performs four consecutive body slams, sending rocks falling over the arena. Evade the debris then attack its weak point during the recovery period.

[4] Jump here to avoid drowning in style.

At below 50% HP, the boss triggers this attack. Quickly climb the highest lily pad to escape the incoming wave.

[5] When in doubt, throw a bomb into its mouth!

The Lord of the Maw unleashes a variation of its sucking attack. Numerous waterspouts begin to form across the arena while it attempts to pull the player in. Use your bombs to interrupt the attack.

Lord of the Maw Location

The Lord of the Maw is located in the innermost area of the Rainbow Lotus during the Age of Safekeeping.

Use the Red Rainbow Lotus Key to unlock the boss room.

Lord of the Maw Rewards

Upon defeating the boss, the arena is filled with 60 Magicite Fragments. Pick these up and exchange them for Magicite at the Magicite Shop.

Grab the Moonmirror from the red chest in the next area.
