How to Unlock Buds that May Someday Bloom

Report to Euygene after beating the Rouser of Destruction and finding the child in Dragonpillar.

When the quest is available, head to the Doctor's House in Age of Reconstruction. It's in the southeast corner of the town.

Buds that May Someday Bloom Walkthrough

[1] Head to the Eldertree.

It's the green marker on the map while the quest is being tracked, still in the Age of Reconstruction.

Elliot finds a bunch of Ratho nipping the Eldertree's buds for food. They probably should've gotten a permit for this.

[2] Hunt down the fleeing Ratho.

Follow the green marker on the map and approach the Eldertree Bud on the ground.

[3] Defeat the bud-eating Ratho.

This spawns some of the mischievous Ratho. Shouldn't be much trouble.

[4] Hunt down the fleeing Ratho.

Follow the green marker again. It leads Elliot to another Eldertree Bud on the ground.

[5] Defeat all of the bud-eating Ratho.

This spawns more Ratho than the previous encounter but should still be manageable.

[6] Hunt down the fleeing Ratho.

Follow the green marker to another Eldertree Bud, we promise it's the last one.

[7] Defeat all of the bud-eating Ratho.

Deal with the final wave of Ratho. Ranged and faster weapons usually work great against the digging pests.

[8] Report to the keeper of the fields.

Head back to the Doctor's House and report Elliot's succesful purge.
