Protecting Our Future Together Summary
Heuria wants to help Mao adapt to the Age of Safekeeping. She asks her son Elliot to invite Mao and help choose a recipe for their meal. During their meal, Mao and Heuria are able to reconcile. And since they both want a future where humans and Myu live together, they'll work hard for peace. This future was only made possible through Elliot's adventures!

You must have defeated the Beast of Enmity and freed Mao.

Protecting Our Future Together Walkthrough
[1] Meet with Heuria in her room
Finally free, Heuria is excited to be able to defend everyone with her spell of safekeeping again, since she was powerless trapped in the ice. It was only with Elliot's words that she could keep going.
Heuria expresses how she would love to meet Elliot's mother.
[2] Meet Carter at Home
Carter tells Elliot that Mao left town to be alone with her thoughts. He says she still regrets what she did and just needs a change of pace.
[3] Meet Mao at the Eldertree
Find Mao at the Eldertree. She wanted to see the tree where Carter and Elliot were saved long ago. It feels very peaceful with the flowers.
Elliot tells her that it takes a long time for the flowers to bloom and that the tree is associated with reunions. With the flowers in full bloom, it must be happy to see them reunite.
Mao wonders if she deserves to be happy after cursing humans in the past ages. Elliot reminds her that she and Carter can start anew here, and lets her know that Heuria wants to talk to her.
Because Heuria is one of the people she'll be sharing this new life with, it'd be good for them to talk. Mao appreciates the effort Heuria's giving, and agrees to it, to Elliot's joy.
[4] Return to Heuria
Heuria wants to invite Mao to a dinner. Elliot and Faie offer to help in deciding what meals to prepare. Heuria gives her thanks to Faie for her assistance.
[5] Look for a Recipe
Go to King Hichard, who recommends asking the dining hall attendant for a recipe.
Speak to the attendant. She mentions the recipe for the feast the other day.
The Meaty Recipe will appear on the west side of the dining hall for you to pick up.
There are also 3 other recipes available for you to find. The Veggieful Pie is found in the orphanage after speaking to Leyka. You can ask Carter and Mao for help, and they'll give you ideas of their own. The Eggs Recipe is found in Mao's House during the Age of Budding, and the Milk Stew Recipe is found in the same place during the Age of Magic.
Whatever recipe you choose, return to Heuria in the dining hall so she can cook it.

[6] Watch Mao and Heuria's Dinner
A cutscene will automatically play afterwards showing how the two are having dinner. Heuria mentions that she helped prepare the meal herself, since it was Mao coming. Mao thanks her and compliments the quality of the ingredients (meat, veggies, etc).
Mao says the dish is an invigorating meal perfect for the protector of the country. Heuria agrees, since her father also loved the meal.
Heuria then mentions that it was actually Elliot who picked the meal, since both of them want Mao to feel at home in this era.
Mao feels ashamed that despite everything she's done, she's still being welcomed by people like Heuria. She's afraid that the happiness that's being given to her could be taken away again.
Heuria says no one's expecting her to recover immediately. But she's extending a hand to Mao to show there are no grudges between them, so they can build a future together. A future where humans and Myu live together, just as Lyudmilla dreamed. A dream that nearly died, but can now happen when they work together!
[7] Meet with Heuria one last time
Talk with Heuria a final time. Obvious on Heuria's face, Elliot thanks her for forgiving his mother.
Heuria says they have a lot to overcome, but it's only thanks to Elliot they can have a wonderful future.
Protecting Our Future Together Rewards
Your reward for completing this quest is 1,500 Tul, as well as the achievement of "A Reliable Adventurer."
